  • Pink Himalayan salt is used in speciality foods, spa treatments, and even home design. 100 grams of it can cost $5 to $8, up to 20 times more than generic table salt. So, why is it so expensive?

A video sponsored by Table Salt Industry to switch people back to Garbage Table Salt with all minerals and natural salt properties removed for the smooth flow..... Pink Himalayan Salt is healthier. Period. And in India its even cheaper than table salt...its given to cows and other cattle to lick to cure their stomach issues....and it does work, ask any farmer. Don't go to buy to this in supermarkets with fancy labels...they sell it way too expensive with fake labels like 'Organic' Vacuum packed other jazz created by highly paid MBAs .....just go to a local Kiryana store, ask for a big block of pink salt...the size of a brick .... shouldn't be more than Rs.14-15 ( approx. 20 cents) per kilogram....come home...wash it, dry it and crush it and pack in boxes. Enjoy at least something natural in ur life. Even though the minerals are in traces, something is better than nothing. .and it also tastes better. Ciao

Hello????? Natural and pure with natural minerals (even if it’s in very small amounts or regular table salt with added chemicals and no minerals? No brained here, it’s not a fad, it’s about returning to nature and realizing that processed “food” like standard table salt is bad for you.

If they could stop tomatoes and onions supply to Pakistan then we are here to stop pink Salt supply to India any more and Soon you will see the results.

The Himalayan pink salt trade, for those that must have it for their pseudo-scientifically established well being, is a scam. It is only special in the way some people fall for anything with an exotic name and an expensive price attached to it. The oil drilling rig was developed from early American drilling devices developed for use in salt mining before oil was a commodity. There was pink salt brought up through injected steam outlets from those salt rigs in the Appalachian Mountains in places like the Kanawha Valley of West Virginia into evaporating ponds, dried and shipped up and down the Ohio river and onwards before the later oil boom. Back then, people didn't want pink salt even though cheap and plentiful, they wanted fancy white salt, lol. Now, there is only one company I know of that still produces Pink (red) salt from the Appalachian Mountains..... which were mountains being worn down to nubs before the Himalayan mountains ever poked out of the sea!
